Our MetroTech devices,(Model #'s: 610, 810, 9860), are dual frequency and are direct hook up. Locators mainly use these for locating buried pipes and cables. When properly used, the technician can identify all types of utilities listed above. 

The RD 4000 is rated as having he highest standards in accurate locating. This pipe and cable locator with it's multiple frequencies allows for precision locating even in congested areas. The high output transmitters provide sufficient wattage for long distance and deep utility locating. 

The RD 8000, similar to the RD 4000, is a premier locator that offers higher accuracy and dependability.

This direct hook up locator has multiple frequencies allowing the technicians to select the frequency best suited for the utility involved. The passive frequency can be used to scan the construction site for buried utilities.
